What Should I Prepare for Filing 2022 US Taxes in 2023?
The season of filing 2022 tax return is around the corner. The IRS reminds the taxpayers to collect the supporting documents as soon as possible for filing tax return, so they won’t miss the deadline.
If you have the following supporting documents, please prepare earlier, and provide them to your accountants:
- Forms W-2 from the US employers.
- Forms 1099 from banks, securities and other financial institutions or payers.
- Other income proofs, like Taiwan income tax return or income from virtual currency.
- Proofs of donating or receiving gift, such as inheritance, stock, and money.
- Form 1095-A from the US insurance company.
- If you’re required to file FBAR, you need to collect the 2022 statements of your foreign financial accounts outside of the US.
USCPA Sophie Luo (羅霞) reminds you that the supporting documents you collect should keep in the safe place just in case.
