The Beginning of 2023 Tax Filing Season
The 2022 U.S. tax filing season officially begins on Monday, January 23, 2023.
It is the date when the IRS will begin to accept 2022 tax returns.
- April 18, 2023 will be the tax filing deadline.
Since April 15 in 2023 meets the weekend, the U.S. tax filing deadline has been postponed to Tuesday, April 18, 2023. If you are a taxpayer who applied for an extension, you must file your 2022 tax return by Monday, October 16, 2023.
